A Christmas filled with Joy!

DSC00502The lines were long, people were hungry but hearts were filled with joy upon leaving the Mission!

One of our guests wrote us a note of thanks ... "I would like to thank the Rescue Mission for the beautiful dinner and gifts and for letting me be part of this blessing. Is a beautiful feeling. The families who were around me were very grateful and they were talking about it on the way into the shelter. Seeing their happiness has no price, and I will treasure it in my box of memories. When you give something and the person leaves, you don't really see how good they are with what they have received. But when you get to see their expressions like I did, you give praise to the LORD and thanks to those who were part of that, and it makes you understand that your needs are not as tough as others. We appreciate life a bit more every day. Thank you for letting me be a part of this day. Maria"

The Mission served over 1,000 meals in one day during our Christmas Celebration.  We gave out over 5,000 gifts! All gifts and food were donated from faithful supporters. You blessed so many people as record crowds heard the Gospel message! Praise be to God!
